01 Royal Grammar School, Guildford

We are very proud of our long term associated with the school having worked on a continual basis for over 20 years.

We have been appointed for all major developments which include new build teaching buildings, laboratories, music department, sports facilities, library and drama centre.

Of the various projects the refurbishment of the Grade 1 old school and the conversion of the old gymnasium to a drama studio were of particular satisfaction requiring imagination and sensitivity in the design and project management of the project work.

02 Newham College of Further Education

The work on the Stratford and Eatlea Campus was a rolling programme to improving the poor condition of the educational and administration buildings.

Over 5 years the sites were transformed with new and refurbished teaching areas, workshops, reporting studio and restaurant.

The college require reactive and committed professionals to meet the tight programme for the design and construction to suit the unpredictable supply of funding.

There was another successful partnership with the Architect, Initiatives in Design providing some notable teaching spaces with limited funding and time.

03 St.Philomenas School

The school programme of improving the teaching facilities includes new science and laboratories, art department and teaching areas.

Typical of many school projects the work was carried out in phases to avoid disruption to the school’s activities.

04 Our Lady of Sion School

The school offers education from nursery to sixth form and has an excellent reputation.

The school wanted to improve their nursery education and commissioned Platform Consulting to design and project manage the new nursery building.

As in many school projects this had to be completed to a strict timetable and cost restraints which was achieved to everyone's satisfaction.

The new building and facilities has proved a positive response in increasing new pupils starting at the school.

The latest project was the expansion of the outdoor sports facilities at the senior school which involved the re-location of the tennis courts, new out buildings and the introduction of all weather artificial pitches.

In both these projects the work was completed on time and on budget.

05 University of Surrey

The largest project for the University was the new CSER satellite building on the main campus.

The department is the world leader in satellite design utilising the research and manufacturing expertise at the University.

The existing building was completely refurbished and integrated with the new building providing comprehensive research and development and production facilities.

The building was fully air conditioned and provided with new cleaning rooms and laboratories.

The building was formally opened by her majesty the Queen.

06 Eltham College

The college commissioned the professional team to build a new teaching and music centre.

This was another successful project working with RDJW Architects with the result of delivering a needed expansion of the school’s teaching accommodation.

07 Royal Holloway

The project revolved around the rationalisation of the electrical distribution and associated system in the Innovation Building.

08 Notre Dame School, Cobham

The commission was for the new learning resource centre. The design and construction of the building had to be carefully managed to limit the disruption of the school's normal activities which resulted in phased work stages.

09 Tormead School, Guildford

The main project was a new purpose built teaching block for the junior school.

The 3 storey building providing modern classrooms, music practice rooms and supplementary residential accommodation for teaching staff.

The building was fully compliant with the DDA regulations and disabled passenger lift.
